About The Position

Methodist Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Hospitalist to join our dynamic team in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will be a board-certified or board-eligible, Internal Medicine trained physician. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a Level I trauma center, where you will provide expert care to critically injured and ill patients. Requirements

  • Must have successfully completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)
  • Must be ABIM Certified
  • Must have active Texas Medical License and DEA
  • Must have at least two (2) years of Hospitalist experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with other physicians, APPs, nurses and other healthcare professionals
  • Conduct thorough physical assessment and medical histories of hospitalized patients
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging studies and laboratory tests, to make accurate diagnoses based on clinical findings and test results
  • Develop and implement patient tailored treatment plans
  • Provide patient and family education regarding their condition and treatments
  • Maintain accurate medical records and follows the standard practices of documentation
  • Instruct patients on prescribed therapeutic regimens, home care and health maintenance
  • Stay up to date on evidence-based practices relevant to hospital medicine and follow hospital-based protocols
