About The Position
Riverside Medical Group is seeking a Labor Pool Hospitalist physician to join their team at Riverside Smithfield Hospital in Smithfield, Virginia. This role involves providing comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, coordinating with a multidisciplinary care team, monitoring patient progress, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and facilitating safe discharge planning. The ideal candidate will be board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, possess strong clinical and diagnostic skills, and have excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Requirements

- Licensed Medical Doctor – State of Virginia

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions
- Coordinate with specialists, nurses, and support staff for integrated care
- Monitor patient progress, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and adjust treatment plans
- Communicate clearly with patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
- Facilitate safe and effective discharge planning and transitions of care
