Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
About The Position
UVA Community Health is seeking an Inpatient Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its provider team at Culpeper Medical Center. The hospital serves the northern Virginia community through an integrated network of inpatient and outpatient services. Its campus includes a 70-bed community hospital, a Family Birth Center, and a 24/7 emergency department. Culpeper Medical Center is part of the UVA Health System, which is recognized for safety, quality, and leading-edge healthcare. The role includes inpatient hospitalist care, with daytime or evening shifts available depending on preference. The average daily census is 8. Ancillary services include respiratory therapy, social workers, MRI, CT, and X-ray. The electronic medical record system is EPIC. The base compensation range is $67.69–$86.65 per hour for a 1.0 clinical FTE. Individual compensation is based on fair market value and the selected candidate’s qualifications, clinical experience, specialty training, credentials, and/or education. The stated pay range excludes any applicable incentive compensation programs that may be available to eligible positions.
Responsibilities
- Round on, admit, and discharge patients.
- Order tests, medications, and treatments.
- Communicate with patients, their families, and their primary care physicians about patients’ conditions and care.
- Consult with additional specialists, including inpatient neurology, urology, podiatry, hospice, gastroenterology, cardiology, and infectious disease.
