About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for a Hospitalist/Nocturnist at a Community Hospital in Lebanon, VA. The role involves providing clinical coverage for adult and geriatric patients, including admissions and rounding. The position requires managing general hospitalist medicine cases within a department of 53 Acute Care Beds, including 5 ICU/PCU adjacent beds. The facility utilizes the Epic EMR system and offers standard inpatient hospital equipment. Tele-support is available for admissions and floor call, with NPs and PAs providing support staff coverage.

Requirements

• Active unrestricted VA medical license required
• Board Certified in IM or FM accepted
• Active DEA with VA address and schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 required
• ACLS required
• Completion of ACGME/AOA-approved 3-year residency in EM, FM, or IM
• Case logs from the past 2 years required
• ECFMG certification required for foreign medical graduates
• Supervising physician responsibilities for NPs and PAs required
• Current immunizations and TB screening required
