About The Position

Millennium Physician Group is seeking to hire a full-time APRN/Physician Assistant Hospitalist to join the Hospitalist/Inpatient Services team at NCH Downtown (Collier County). We are looking for a new team member who is positive, energetic, well-organized, has the ability to multi-task, and think outside of the box. We want someone who supports our top initiative of ensuring an excellent patient experience. Advanced providers focus on assessments to care for our patients. Physician Assistants/APRN's work under the supervision of a licensed physician. You will be responsible for ordering, performing and interpreting diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays. You will diagnosis and treat both acute and chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, infections and injuries. You will also prescribe medications and other treatments as well as manage our patient's overall well-being (comprehensive care). You are expected to consult with the supervising Physician on any complicated diagnoses and make treatment decisions collectively. You may in some cases take the office overflow of patients or may build your own "practice". Depending on patient load, you may have a medical assistant to assist with patient care and follow-up.

Requirements

  • Florida APRN or PA License & Board Certification
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of EMR systems
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb and balance.
  • Ability to occasionally sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Athena knowledge preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
