About The Position

Logan Regional Medical Center is seeking an Advance Practice Provider (APP), specifically a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. The APP will provide high-quality and cost-effective medical management of patients under the direction of a hospitalist physician, as privileged by the medical center and within their scope of practice. The hospitalist physician extender will collaborate with the hospitalist care team to coordinate and manage the patient care process from admission through discharge.

Requirements

• Masters with a major in nursing and successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program or Graduate of an approved Physician’s Assistant program.
• Current licensure in the State of West Virginia with declaration of Advanced Practice Standing or Current licensure in the State of West Virginia National Certification in Physician Assistant (PANCE) PA-C.
• BLS/ACLS required.
• Must comply with West Virginia Code related to attaining and maintaining limited prescriptive privileges.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, staff and other health care providers.
• Ability to use equipment needed for a thorough physical examination.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of two (2) years experience practicing as an advanced professional nurse or PA-C preferred.
• Experience in hospital setting a plus.
