About The Position

The Unit Secretary is responsible for nursing unit communication. Functions include serving as a receptionist, maintaining patient records, and transcribing and communicating physician orders as well as maintaining order at the nursing station. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent preferred
Previous work experience in a medical environment preferred
Experience with office equipment desirable

Relevant work experience in hospital settings, acute care, critical care, or medical office administration
Certification as a Unit Secretary
