About The Position
PAM Health is seeking a Hospital Unit Secretary (HUC) for full-time night shifts at the San Antonio Med Center LTACH. The Unit Secretary is responsible for nursing unit communication, serving as a receptionist, maintaining patient records, transcribing and communicating physician orders, and maintaining order at the nursing station. PAM Health provides specialty healthcare services through over 80 locations in 17 states, focusing on high-quality patient care and outstanding customer service. Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Certification as a Unit Secretary preferred.
- None required experience.
- Previous work experience in a medical environment preferred.
- Experience with office equipment desirable.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a receptionist for the nursing unit.
- Maintain patient records.
- Transcribe and communicate physician orders.
- Maintain order at the nursing station.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
