About The Position

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join their team at a program in Coraopolis, PA. This opportunity is ideal for caregivers, direct care workers, or home health aides, with immediate hiring and paid training provided. The role offers an hourly wage of $20.13 with an Enhanced Pay Option. The ideal DSP candidate will be passionate about making long-term impacts on individuals' lives, encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. The position involves spending time in various settings, including parks and sensory gardens, to work on social and communication skills, following Individual Support Plans. DSPs will foster independence by teaching daily living activities such as personal care, housekeeping, and laundry, and assisting with daily and personal activities.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• A current and valid driver's license is required

Responsibilities

• Encourage, mentor, and coach individuals to achieve their goals
• Spend days in a variety of settings making memories with individuals
• Follow the Individuals Support Plan
• Work on social and communication skills (e.g., at the park and sensory gardens)
• Teach individuals to navigate daily living activities, such as personal care, housekeeping, and laundry
• Assist with daily and personal activities to enhance independence
