About The Position
The Hospital Transporter reports to the Division Operations Manager and works under general supervision. The role is responsible for safely, efficiently, and promptly transporting patients throughout the MUSC campus while maintaining a high standard of patient care. The position also supports moving and positioning essential medical equipment, including wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, and beds. MUSC Health Florence Medical Center is a regional acute care facility with 396 patient beds, more than 1,500 employees, and nearly 300 physicians representing major specialties. Its services include heart and vascular care, cancer treatment, orthopedic and general surgery, diagnostics, women’s health, and rehabilitation.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent.
- 0–6 months of work experience.
Responsibilities
- Transport patients safely, efficiently, and promptly throughout the MUSC campus.
- Maintain a high standard of patient care during transport.
- Move and position medical equipment, including wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, and beds.
