About The Position
Ally Psychiatry is seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), to join our inpatient team in Opp, AL. This is a part-time position in our 14-bed geriatric psychiatry unit, providing essential therapy and social work services to support patient care and safe discharge planning. This role has the potential to go full time.
Requirements
- LMSW, LPC, LCSW, licensure in Alabama (or eligibility)
- Strong communication, advocacy, and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in inpatient or geriatric mental health care
Responsibilities
- Conduct intake screenings and assessments
- Provide individual and group therapy for geriatric patients
- Assist patients and families in finding resources and community support
- Develop and implement safe discharge plans
- Collaborate with probate courts and legal entities as needed
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
