About The Position

Daniels Health is seeking a Hospital Service Technician to join their team, supporting hospitals with critical medical waste services. This is a hands-on role involving physical activity such as moving, lifting, and making a daily impact. The position requires servicing various locations in Chicago's North Shore and near-North Shore areas, necessitating flexibility and personal transportation. The role offers consistent, daytime hours.

Requirements

Physically fit, comfortable with heavy lifting, and enjoys active, on-the-go work.
Personal transportation to both work sites.
Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
Strong attention to detail, especially regarding paperwork and procedures.
Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel between assigned locations.
A can-do attitude.
Previous experience in a labor-intensive or logistics role.

Responsibilities

Working directly with hospital staff to ensure safe and timely medical waste container exchanges and proper segregation.
Inspecting and servicing Daniels Health containers in clinical areas, including entering procedural spaces and working around sensitive equipment and patients.
Lifting containers (up to 50 lbs) and pushing/pulling carts (up to 300 lbs) throughout the day.
Maintaining inventory of containers and ensuring all areas are stocked and organized.
Using a company-provided smartphone to manage tasks, report issues, and communicate with the team.
Keeping staging areas clean and orderly before and after service.
Representing Daniels Health with professionalism, positivity, and a strong work ethic.
