Hospital Service Technician - AdventHealth Daytona Beach & New Smyrna
About The Position
Daniels Health is seeking a Hospital Service Technician to join their Field Service team, supporting hospitals with critical medical waste services. This is a hands-on role requiring physical activity, including moving, lifting, and servicing medical waste containers at two local AdventHealth locations: AdventHealth Daytona Beach and AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach. The technician will work directly with hospital staff to ensure safe and timely medical waste container exchanges and proper segregation, inspect and service containers in clinical areas, and maintain inventory. A company-provided smartphone will be used for task management and communication. The role emphasizes representing Daniels Health with professionalism and a strong work ethic.
Requirements
- Physically fit, comfortable with heavy lifting, and enjoys active, on-the-go work.
- Personal transportation to both assigned work sites.
- A team player who can also work independently without direct supervision.
- Strong attention to detail—especially when it comes to paperwork and procedures.
- Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel between assigned locations.
- A can-do attitude and previous experience in a labor-intensive or logistics role.
Responsibilities
- Working directly with hospital staff to ensure safe and timely medical waste container exchanges and proper segregation.
- Inspecting and servicing Daniels Health containers in clinical areas—this includes entering procedural spaces and working around sensitive equipment and patients.
- Lifting containers (up to 50 lbs) and pushing/pulling carts (up to 300 lbs) throughout the day.
- Maintaining inventory of containers and ensuring all areas are stocked and organized.
- Using a company-provided smartphone to manage tasks, report issues, and communicate with your team.
- Keeping staging areas clean and orderly before and after service.
- Representing Daniels Health with professionalism, positivity, and a strong work ethic.
