The Security Professional Flex Officer will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, Education, Finance and more. The Security Professional Flex Officer may be called upon to work irregular shifts at times with little to no advance notice.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as assigned.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry while following visitor procedures and directing people to the appropriate location.
  • Support a healthcare environment by reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or unusual behavior to the appropriate personnel in accordance with site protocols.
