The Hospital Scheduler is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the hospital scheduling process, including nursing, behavioral technician, and nursing support positions. This role ensures a completed daily schedule for hospital staff, monitors all IPN staff schedules for balanced coverage across units and shifts, and maintains a positive, proactive customer service approach through cooperation and communication within the hospital, other departments, and with outside stakeholders. The scheduler must stay knowledgeable about staffing agency rules and regulations and new trends in the medical staffing and healthcare industry. They will collaborate with the VP of Acute Care Services/Director of Nursing or designated staff to develop schedules, analyze scheduling deficits, and ensure appropriate coverage. Additionally, the role involves monitoring timesheets in Paycom, ensuring corrections are made, and submitting timesheets, verifying that staff transfer their time correctly. Other duties may be assigned to meet program and departmental goals.
