About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The role performs skilled specimen collections and provides customer service to patients. It also includes specimen preparation, patient and specimen recordkeeping, billing and administrative tasks, and travel to additional sites when needed. The schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfort working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation and a clean driving record, if applicable.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• If qualifying in lieu of work experience, the phlebotomy certification or completed training program must be from an accredited agency.

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy certification, completion of a phlebotomy training program, or at least one year of phlebotomy experience.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
• Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
