About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Hospital Phlebotomist to join our team at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, AL. This is a Per Diem/Casual position with availability to work two weekends each month. In this role, you will perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company, providing exceptional customer service. Requirements

High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
Reliable transportation.
Flexibility to work overtime.
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to all patients.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
Travel to additional sites when needed.
