About The Position

Join Vernon Health as a Staff Pharmacist and provide clinical pharmacy services, medication management, and patient education across hospital and outpatient services. The pharmacist works closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient care. The role includes 10-hour shifts averaging four days a week, with a clinical rotation from Thursday through Wednesday that includes on-call responsibilities Thursday through Sunday, and an operational rotation from Tuesday through Friday. The pharmacist serves as a clinical resource by recommending formulary alternatives, renal dosing adjustments, antimicrobial therapies, and medication conversions. The role also supports pharmacy workflow, may supervise pharmacy technicians in the manager's absence, participates in policy development, uses electronic health records, and maintains competencies in sterile and non-sterile compounding.

Requirements

BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
Current Wisconsin Pharmacist License.
CPR Certification.
Strong clinical judgment, communication, analytical, and teamwork skills.

Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Review and verify medication orders.
Assess drug interactions and allergies.
Conduct clinical rounding.
