About The Position

PharmD on Demand is seeking an experienced pharmacist to work part time at Monroe County Hospital in Forsyth, Georgia. The pharmacist will support patient care by interpreting medication orders and compounding and dispensing medications and related products, while meeting legal, regulatory, hospital, and company requirements. The role calls for a detail-oriented, communicative problem solver who works well with a team. Pharmacy hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; the schedule details specify every other weekend from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Requirements

Current pharmacist licensure in Georgia.
One year of pharmacy experience preferred.
Detail-oriented, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Works well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Fulfill legal and regulatory requirements, including evaluation, selection, procurement, and distribution of drugs, counseling, and professional consultation.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and hospital and PharmD on Demand policies.
Interpret physician medication orders.
Compound and dispense prescribed medications, pharmaceuticals, and related products for patient care, performing related duties.
Represent the hospital and PharmD on Demand in a positive and professional manner.
Maintain customer confidentiality.
Comply with organizational policies regarding ethical business practices.
Exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
Interact effectively with diverse individuals.
Maintain professionalism in all situations.
