About The Position

Opportunity for Full-time and Part-time with rotating Weekends/Holidays. Great entry level opportunity to start out in health care under the supervision of an RN, providing close observation of patients. Assists in the provision of a safe and clean environment. You will provide assistance with activities of daily living, unless the patient needs are such that adverse health consequences are predictable.

Requirements

• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide a safe environment and based on the patients served.
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Compassionate customer based attitude

Nice To Haves

• Mental health experience helpful.
• Prior background as a caregiver helpful
• Bi-lingual in Polish or Spanish desirable

Responsibilities

• Obtains verbal report from the patient’s nurse to include information regarding the patient.
• Positions self in patient room at bedside to maintain constant visual observation of the patient.
• Obtains instruction from nurse regarding ambulation limitations.
• Observant of the patient’s activity and behavior and communicates on a regular basis to the nurse.
• Provides for patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction. Maintains patient environment in a safe and orderly manner.
• Functions cooperatively as a team member.
• Offers support and feedback to peers and staff.
