About The Position

The Hospital Laboratory Manager will administer policies, manage personnel and daily activities in the delivery of quality patient care within the area of responsibility. In this role, you will maintain adequate inventory of supplies and reagents to perform testing, assure adequate equipment is available, operational and performance monitored. Monitor current accreditation standards to ensure department compliance with all regulatory agencies. (CAP, JCAHO, NCCLS, CLIA, ASHI, OSHA, Federal Regulations, and AABB). Develop, plan and audit departmental goals and budget. As the Hospital Laboratory Manager, you will monitor and serve as a resource for activities related to physical plant, data processing, and educational training of students, and Departmental/Hospital committees.

Requirements

BS Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or Biologic Science.
A four-year degree is required for Managers of non-testing areas.
Five (5) years of current/related clinical laboratory experience is required.
Generalist experience to include Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Blood Bank.
Two (2) years of supervisory experience in the laboratory or clinical setting is required.
MLS/MT (ASCP, AMT, HEW, or equivalent) certification is required.
