About The Position

HHS is seeking housekeepers at HCA Florida North Florida Hospital to provide a superior level of cleaning in a hospital environment and create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where patients can heal. The role pays $15.50 per hour and is scheduled for 24–40 hours per week. Weekend work is required. Applicants must pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of U.S. employment eligibility.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
• Practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and wear a uniform.
• Pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of employment eligibility in the U.S.
• Stand, walk, squat, bend, twist, kneel, and reach continuously throughout a shift.
• Push and pull carts or equipment weighing over 100 pounds on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift.
• Handle chemicals, including bleach, wax, and disinfectants.
• Be able to operate equipment necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.

Nice To Haves

• Housekeeping experience, including cleaning, environmental services, custodial or janitorial work, room attendant duties, floor care, hotel operations, or healthcare experience.
• Military or veteran experience is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned hospital areas, including patient rooms, common areas, and restrooms.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of assigned areas.
• Follow HHS cleaning procedures and best practices.
• Provide friendly and kind service to everyone in the hospital.
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.
