About The Position

Xanitos, Inc. is hiring full-time Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The role involves cleaning and maintaining facilities in a healthcare campus and may be performed at any location on the client’s premises. Responsibilities may vary based on business needs, client requirements, and applicable industry standards. The listed shift is 2nd shift, 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., including every other weekend and holiday. The hourly pay rate is $15.00, and the position offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus distributed in three installments. Xanitos is a management company providing hospital housekeeping, patient transport, central laundry, and patient observation services. Its services include the patented XRO System for cleaning patient rooms.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent.
Pass post-offer medical screening, background screening, and drug test.
Ability to stand for long periods and regularly stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
Ability to frequently climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Vision abilities include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
Possible exposure to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment.

Responsibilities

Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
Sweep and/or vacuum floors.
Dust furniture and equipment.
Polish metalwork.
Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
Replenish bathroom supplies.
Transport small equipment or tools between departments.
