About The Position
Provides Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) level emergency medical care and ambulance transport to patients who are ill or injured.
Requirements
- High school education or GED
- Successful completion of Emergency Medical Technician program
- Current EMT license
- Knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software
- Basic knowledge and data entry in Electronic Health Record
- Data entry into state reporting for EMS
- Valid driver’s license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating
- Must possess and maintain an EMT License issued by the Oklahoma State Department of Health
- Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Must possess National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) certifications maintain throughout employment
- Must keep all knowledge and skills current through specific continued education as required by the Oklahoma State Department of Health/EMS Division for renewing licensure
- The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)
- Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care
