About The Position

In this role, employees will have direct patient contact. The primary function is to transport patients and patient-related items in a safe and efficient manner. Employees will provide safe, courteous, and reliable Non-Medical transportation for patients being discharged from Mayo Clinic hospital campuses to locations within a 60-mile radius. Employees must demonstrate proficiency in the safe operation of multiple types of motorized patient transport equipment which require exceptional fine motor skills and must have full use of hands, ability to do repetitive wrist and elbow movements, repetitive foot motions and trunk rotate/twist/reach actions. Disinfecting equipment after each patient use and maintenance as needed through the appropriate channels.
