Cleaner | Hospital Evenings
About The Position
Find your purpose joining CentraCare and the St. Cloud Hospital as a Hospital Cleaner (EVS), working to keep our patients safe and our facilities clean. We are seeking qualified Evening Shift workers with good communication skills for various part time evening shifts. This is a fast-paced position that requires interacting and communicating with others while sanitizing patient rooms and public spaces throughout the hospital. Previous experience in housekeeping or commercial cleaning is ideal but not required. You will need to communicate fluently in this position as you will have direct contact with patients, families, doctors, nurses and other staff members that will need to conduct conversations with you in English. For many of our Cleaning positions, you are also REQUIRED to wear Hospital Scrubs (pants form).
Requirements
- Ability to read, write simple task requests and reports, and communicate well with others required.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Excellent time management skills and detail-oriented
- Must be at least 18 years of age due to handling of cleaning chemicals and operating mechanical lifts
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- Communicate fluently in English
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in housekeeping or commercial cleaning
Responsibilities
- Sanitize rooms during patient's stays, and after patients are discharged.
- Vacuuming
- Mopping
- Changing bedding
- Re-stocking bathrooms
- Working with chemicals and coming in contact with bodily fluids.
