About The Position

Universal Health Services (UHS), a Fortune 300 corporation and a leading provider of hospital and healthcare services, is seeking candidates for its Hospital Administrator Program at Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, TX. This program is designed to develop junior executives into future COOs within UHS. The selected candidate will oversee day-to-day operations of various hospital departments, manage assigned departments efficiently to enhance service quality and hospital profits, and implement the strategic vision of the CEO and COO. Participants will also engage in corporate Leadership Development classes. Northwest Texas Healthcare System is a 404-bed acute care facility and medical center known for its high-quality medical services and advanced technological innovations. It serves as a tertiary care academic institution and features an Advanced (Level III) Trauma facility in its emergency department.

Requirements

Knowledge of the financial implications of decisions, including budgeting and forecasting for a limited number of departments and/or projects.
Detail-oriented with the ability to focus on nuances of multiple hospital operations.
Effective communication skills with diverse groups, including physicians, managers, and employees.
Master’s degree required (MBA, MHA or related program).
Hospital management experience at a mid-level (3-7 years).
Acute Care Hospital Experience required.
Must be open to Relocation.
Strong Project Management experience.
Strong critical thinking skillset.

Administrative Residency or Fellowship a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day operations for various hospital departments.
Be assigned projects to further the strategy of the Hospitals.
Implement the strategy of the CEO and COO.
Manage assigned departments efficiently and effectively to maximize the quality of services and the profits of the hospital.
Enroll in corporate Leadership Development classes to further development as a junior executive and prepare for a COO role within UHS.
