About The Position

IntellaTriage is seeking a compassionate registered nurse to provide after-hours telephone triage and support for hospice patients and their families. The nurse assesses needs, helps determine appropriate next steps, and coordinates care with on-call teams, serving as an extension of clients’ care teams during non-core hours. Care is delivered remotely using client-customized protocols and electronic medical records, with a focus on timely, patient-centered, compassionate support.

This is a remote, part-time position with a schedule of 3:30 p.m.–9 p.m. and rotating Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30 a.m.–4 p.m. CST. The role requires consistent attendance, active communication, and reliable internet connectivity during scheduled shifts. Nurses receive three weeks of paid remote training and work with a supportive clinical team.

The base pay after training is $25 per hour, with opportunities to increase pay up to $28 per hour within the first six months. Nurses are eligible for a $2 per hour overnight differential and a $2 per hour weekend differential (Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday). Part-time and full-time nurses accumulate PTO based on hours worked and may participate in the 401(k) plan. Full-time nurses may also participate in medical, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance plans.

Requirements

• Active multistate Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Comfort with technology and electronic medical records (EMR) used to document calls.
• Ability and comfort typing documentation and notes in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle stress and multitask while receiving calls.
• Strong communication and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Consistent attendance, active communication, and reliable internet connectivity during scheduled shifts.

Nice To Haves

• Hospice, palliative, or end-of-life care experience is strongly preferred.
