About The Position
As a Spiritual Counselor at Luna Del Valle Hospice, you will play a vital role in providing spiritual care and support to our patients and their families during their end-of-life journey. We are looking for candidates who have a Masters in Divinity (Or Equivalent) with experience in end-of-life care and a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
Requirements
- Masters Degree in Divinity, or Equivalent.
- Experience as a Spiritual Counselor in end-of-life care or hospice settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Provide spiritual guidance, counseling, and support to patients and families to help them find peace and comfort during their end-of-life journey.
- Conduct spiritual assessments and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans that address the spiritual needs of patients.
- Offer pastoral care, prayer, and rituals in alignment with patients' beliefs and traditions.
- Facilitate discussions on end-of-life wishes, meaning-making, and legacy work.
- Provide support and education to staff and volunteers on spiritual care practices and cultural competence.
