About The Position

Serenity Hospice is hiring a full-time Hospice Social Worker in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The Social Worker will join an interdisciplinary team and provide emotional support, guidance, crisis intervention, and resource coordination to hospice patients and their families as they navigate end-of-life care. The role includes psychosocial assessments, individualized care planning, assistance with advance directives and end-of-life planning, bereavement support, and professional documentation. The Social Worker advocates for each patient’s dignity, comfort, and wishes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work (BSW/MSW).
• Valid Pennsylvania Social Work license.
• Pennsylvania residency.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy, resilience, and professionalism.
• A deep respect for the dignity and individuality of every person.
• A compassionate, patient-centered approach.
• At least 1 year of experience, as indicated in the posting.

• Hospice or healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities
