About The Position
Serenity Hospice PA is growing and seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join their team serving patients and families in the Lancaster area. This full-time nursing position offers a consistent schedule with 12-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, providing four days off each week. The role involves providing compassionate, patient-centered care, focusing on comfort, dignity, and quality of life for hospice patients and their families. The RN will collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and an interdisciplinary team to ensure exceptional care and support.
Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania RN license
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Nice To Haves
- Hospice or home health experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to hospice patients
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Provide symptom management and comfort-focused care
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, disease progression, and hospice services
- Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Provide emotional support to patients and their loved ones
- Advocate for patient comfort, dignity, and quality of life
