Hospice RN, PRN
About The Position
We are hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Hospice position providing end-of-life care to patients in their homes in the Lisle, IL. and surrounding areas. This role offers autonomy, meaningful patient relationships, and career growth. The position involves delivering compassionate, patient-centered care, performing comprehensive patient assessments, symptom and pain management, and individualized end-of-life care planning. It also includes educating and supporting patients and families through the end-of-life journey, critical thinking, problem-solving, and thorough EMR documentation. The role requires independent work with team support and travel to patient homes within an assigned territory.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse, RN license in the state you work
- Two years of RN experience and the clinical expertise to deliver quality patient care
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to spend approximately 20% of your workday driving to and from patient locations
- Legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a hospice setting, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team dedicated to comfort, dignity, and quality of life
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, symptom and pain management, and individualized end-of-life care planning
- Educate and support patients and families through the end-of-life journey, ensuring they feel informed, prepared, and deeply cared for
- Think critically, solve problems in real time, and ensure thorough, compliant EMR documentation
- Work independently, but never alone
- Travel to patient homes within assigned territory
