About The Position

James River Hospice is growing and looking for an experienced RN to step into a Hospice Director of Clinical Services role! If you’re someone who takes pride in leading a team and delivering high-quality, compassionate care, this is an opportunity to make a real impact. You’ll oversee clinical operations while supporting and guiding a strong team dedicated to our patients and families.

Requirements

• Must be a Registered Nurse with a current license to practice nursing in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• At least one year of management experience, preferably in a hospice setting
• At least one year of supervisory experience
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all direct and indirect patient services
• Provide supervision and guidance to clinical staff to ensure quality care and standards
• Conduct chart audits and ensure regulatory compliance
• Participate in QAPI initiatives and data collection
• Evaluate staff performance (90-day and annual) and support ongoing development
• Ensure accurate and compliant patient clinical documentation
• Assist with orientation of new staff and ongoing in-services
• Provide patient visits in the home setting as needed
• Support overall clinical operations as required
