Hospice Registered Nurse- Nights, Grand Junction
About The Position
HopeWest is seeking a Hospice Registered Nurse for their Grand Junction Community Hospice. This role involves providing compassionate care, strength, and courage to patients and families, acting as a teacher to help patients identify personal goals of care and empowering caregivers. The nurse will be a specialist in symptom management, requiring excellence in assessment and critical thinking. Care is provided wherever patients call home, including private homes, nursing homes, group homes, or assisted living facilities. Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Experience in home health, hospice, or acute care strongly preferred
- Current Colorado RN license maintained throughout employment
- Current CPR certification maintained throughout employment
- Valid Colorado driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to navigate emotional or high-stress situations with professionalism and compassion
- Experience with EHR systems and Microsoft Office applications
