About The Position

Concordia Hospice of Washington is seeking a dedicated and personable Hospice RN to join their team. This role involves providing compassionate care to patients and families during significant end-of-life transitions. The position focuses on delivering personalized care that prioritizes comfort and quality of life, requiring continuous assessment of physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, developing individualized care plans with an interdisciplinary team, and expert symptom management through medication and treatment administration. The role also involves educating and supporting families about disease processes, care options, and end-of-life decisions, while offering emotional support.

Requirements

Adaptability, compassion, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably with experience in palliative care, hospice, or oncology.

Responsibilities

Continuously assess the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients, developing individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
Administer medications and treatments, focusing on pain management and symptom control to improve the patient's quality of life.
Be a trusted resource for families, providing education about the disease process, care options, and end-of-life decisions, while offering emotional support.
