About The Position

HomeCare & Hospice is seeking a Hospice and Palliative Staff Nurse to provide direct patient care, education, and support to patients and families in their homes who are facing life-limiting illnesses. The role involves coordinating care with the Hospice and Palliative Care Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) and utilizing resources to address the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients and families to improve quality of life and reduce suffering. This position offers opportunities for career development through tuition reimbursement for advanced degrees and involvement in nursing committees, research projects, and precepting new staff. Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • RN Diploma, ASN required.
  • Current license to practice nursing in Pennsylvania OR a multi-state license verified in one of the approved states through the Nursing Licensure Compact.
  • Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
  • Two year(s) of recent med-surg experience in an acute or long term care setting, rehabilitation, home care, or hospice setting.
  • This position requires you to wear a respirator as part of the job requirement.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred.
  • Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) preferred.
  • Certification in Hospice and Palliative Nursing preferred.
  • Hospice Nurse experience preferred.
