The Hebrew SeniorLife Hospice provides a Jewish Hospice service to terminally ill patients and their families in the greater Boston area, rooted in Hessed (loving kindness) and Kevod HaBeriyot (honoring life). The service is open to all, regardless of religious affiliation, with a mission informed by Jewish values shared across many faith traditions. The Hospice works collaboratively with patients and families to achieve optimum healing of body and soul when curing is no longer an option, focusing on physical comfort, emotional and spiritual support, and companionship. The ultimate goal is to help every patient attain a peaceful and pain-free death and support family healing and bereavement. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to building an innovative new Hospice program poised for clinical excellence and rapid growth, completing Hebrew SeniorLife's continuum of outstanding care. As a member of the interdisciplinary group (IDG), the Hospice Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care, identifies patient/family needs, and offers supportive care in accordance with physician's orders, the IDG plan of care, and Hospice policies and procedures. The nurse operates under the direction of the attending physician, Hospice Medical Director, Clinical Manager, and Sr. Director of Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS), in compliance with the state's Registered Nurse Practice Act.
