About The Position
Rocky Mountain Care Hospice is seeking a compassionate Hospice Registered Nurse to join its Salt Lake City team. This is a full-time position on a 7-on / 7-off schedule: work seven days followed by seven consecutive days off. The RN provides meaningful, patient-centered hospice care while building patient relationships and exercising professional independence.
Requirements
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid to practice in Utah.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
- Comfort using electronic documentation and email.
- Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional end-of-life care.
Nice To Haves
- Hospice, home health, or related nursing experience.
Responsibilities
- Complete hospice nursing visits and comprehensive patient assessments.
- Provide skilled nursing and comfort-focused care.
- Monitor changes in patient condition and respond to patient needs.
- Educate and support patients, families, and caregivers.
- Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary hospice team.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Make independent clinical decisions within the scope of practice.
