Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) - After Hours & Weekends
About The Position
Corus Health is seeking an experienced, compassionate Registered Nurse to join our hospice team in Albuquerque, NM. This is a highly autonomous position with a 7-on / 7-off schedule (Friday to Friday, 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM & every other weekend days/nights), offering a unique rhythm of deep focus and meaningful time off. Requirements
- Licensed RN in the state of New Mexico
- Minimum of 1 year of hospice experience required
- Comfortable working independently, especially during off-hours
- Strong clinical judgment and emotional presence
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Passion for hospice philosophy and end-of-life care
- Excellent communication and time management skills
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care, symptom management, and emotional support for patients with life-limiting illness
- Triage and respond to patient needs during evening and overnight hours
- Work independently while remaining closely connected to the interdisciplinary team
- Communicate with physicians, families, and care team members regarding changes in condition
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation in accordance with agency protocols
- Covers incoming calls for Home Health, including triaging needs and making visits as necessary.
- Navigate in-home settings throughout Bernalillo and surrounding counties
- Adhere to hospice regulations and uphold the mission of Corus Hospice
