Hospice Registered Nurse - On Call (After Hours)
About The Position
Brighton/Suncrest Hospice is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide individualized hospice care to patients wherever they call home. This role involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care plans addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. The organization emphasizes quality care through lower clinician caseloads and higher staff-to-patient ratios, allowing nurses to spend more meaningful time with patients and families. Various nursing opportunities are available depending on strengths and interests. This specific role is for an On-Call Nurse working the night shift from 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM daily, with no continuous on-call obligations.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the state of practice.
- A passion for providing exceptional, patient-centered hospice care.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with interdisciplinary care teams.
- Ability to work independently while effectively managing your daily schedule.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Comfort learning and utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and current auto insurance to travel throughout the service area.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, individualized hospice care wherever patients call home.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of nurses, Social Workers, Chaplains, CNAs, and volunteers to develop care plans.
- Support the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and their families.
- Manage daily schedule effectively, balancing patient visits, documentation, meetings, and urgent needs.
- Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
