About The Position

Care Initiatives is hiring a Hospice Program Director to lead its Cedar Rapids Hospice team. The role leads an interdisciplinary team providing high-quality, compassionate end-of-life care and helps shape hospice service delivery while ensuring exceptional patient care and efficient operations. The director also builds relationships with referral sources in conjunction with the Business Development team.

Requirements

• Two years in a leadership position.
• Two years of experience in the hospice industry.
• Experience interacting with physicians and health care providers related to patient care.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, business, healthcare administration, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with leadership to create, implement, and evaluate Care Initiatives Hospice and location strategic plans.
• Market hospice services with Business Development team members and establish professional and public relationships that encourage and develop short- and long-term referral sources.
• Plan, implement, and monitor location budgets.
• Hire, develop, coach, and retain competent staff.
• Establish and maintain a professional work environment using the interdisciplinary team approach.
