About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for a Hospice & Palliative Medicine Physician in Fredericksburg, VA. The role involves providing inpatient consultations, supervising residents during clinical rounds, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, managing symptom control and advance care planning, and documenting patient encounters in the Epic EMR system. The coverage period is ASAP through October 09, 2026, with a Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm shift schedule.
Requirements
- Board Certified (Eligible) in Hospice & Palliative Medicine.
- Licensed in VA.
- BLS certification required.
Responsibilities
- Provide hospice and palliative medicine consultations for inpatients.
- Supervise and precept residents during clinical rounds.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for patient care.
- Manage symptom control and advance care planning.
- Document patient encounters in Epic EMR.
