About The Position

Residential Home Health and Hospice is a nationally recognized leader in home health and hospice, and a consistent Top Workplace. We are hiring a Music Therapist for a Hospice position providing care to patients in their homes in the Moosic, PA area. This role involves delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a hospice setting, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team dedicated to comfort, dignity, and quality of life. The Music Therapist will provide compassionate music therapy services in accordance with hospice care plans to promote comfort, emotional support, relaxation, and overall quality of life for patients and families. They will also educate and support patients and caregivers through therapeutic music interventions, responding to emotional and comfort needs with professionalism, empathy, and flexibility throughout the end-of-life journey. The role requires independent work, travel to patient homes within an assigned territory, and offers support from a dedicated field education team, leadership that mentors and champions growth, and a collaborative culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Music Therapy degree
  • Current Board certified (MT-BC) credential according to U. S. Certification Board for Music Therapists
  • State music therapy licensing where required
  • At least six (6) months of work/education experience with geriatric health care
  • At least six (6) months of work /education experience with end-of-life/terminal illness health care
  • Current driver’s license and ability to spend ~20% of your day driving to/from patient locations

Responsibilities

  • Work independently but never alone
  • Travel to patient homes within assigned territory
