A Day in the Life of a Hospice Social Worker (Weekend) As a Hospice Social Worker, your weekend shifts are focused on connection and compassion. This Social Worker role includes collaborating with nurses and the care team, advocating for patient needs, and ensuring comfort during critical weekend moments. Requirements

Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)
Illinois LSW or LCSW preferred
1+ year experience as a Social Worker (healthcare or hospice preferred)
Strong communication, empathy, and organizational skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Local residence with ability to respond within 30 minutes of assigned service area.
Meets agency requirements for criminal background check.
