About The Position

Sentara Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Hospice Medical Director to provide PRN support for the Peninsula region. This role is ideal for a physician who is interested in contributing in an administrative and clinical oversight capacity within a collaborative hospice care model. The Medical Director will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance and clinical appropriateness of hospice services, with a primary focus on the review, approval, and recertification of Certificates of Terminal Illness (CTIs). This position partners closely with hospitalists, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary hospice teams to support high-quality, patient-centered end-of-life care.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O., licensed to practice in Virginia.
