About The Position

Halcyon Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hospice Massage Therapist PRN to join our team in Dallas, TX. This role is perfect for a professional with outstanding customer service skills and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients. This position involves providing massage-related services to patients in their homes, assisting in maintaining a safe and clean environment, and working cooperatively with patients and their families. The role also includes supporting patients, community events, and attending Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) meetings and Case Conferences. The job requires working in various home conditions, with potential exposure to bodily fluids and infectious diseases, and necessitates a flexible schedule and local travel. Prolonged standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and assisting patients are also part of the duties. The therapist will provide massage therapy services, assist patients with safe transfers and ambulation, report changes to the clinical care team, practice infection control, and promote a respectful and supportive environment. The role also involves assisting patients with nutrition and fluid intake and upholding the agency's philosophy and policies.

Requirements

Current Massage Therapist License
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Must have Hepatitis profile.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge or experience utilizing Homecare Homebase EMR would be a plus
Experience in hospice or related healthcare setting preferred

Responsibilities

Provide massage related services to the patient in their place of residence.
Assist in providing a safe and clean environment.
Work cooperatively with patient and family.
Support our patients and community events.
Attend IDG and Case Conference.
Provide massage therapy services.
Assist the patient with safe transfers and ambulation per agency policy.
Appropriately report changes to clinical care team to ensure continuity of care.
Practice accepted infection control principles.
Provide a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
Promote positive, supportive, respectful communication to patient/family and other employees.
Provide an environment which promotes respect for patient, privacy and property.
Assist the patient with proper nutrition and adequate fluid intake.
Promote the agency philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
