Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri required
  • Hospice experience required
  • Minimum 2 years of management/supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of hospice philosophy and end-of-life care
  • Expertise in pain and symptom management
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently with flexibility in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Windows systems
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
  • Ability to meet all pre-employment and health screening requirements

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the nursing management team, providing guidance and support in clinical operations
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered hospice care
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Oversee medical record accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Serve as a clinical resource and support system for patient care issues
  • Assist in policy development, implementation, and monitoring
  • Collaborate with leadership on quality improvement and service development
  • Support admissions and discharge appropriateness
  • Partner with the Business Office to monitor pharmacy, DME, and supply costs
  • Assist in marketing and community outreach efforts, including relationship-building with physicians and facility leadership
  • Provide leadership support in hiring, coaching, and performance management
  • Participate in administrative on-call rotation
