About The Position

At Sunshine Home Health and Hospice, we are dedicated to providing compassionate, end-of-life care to patients and their families. We are currently seeking a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team and serve patients living in the Cache Valley area. As a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (YOU MUST BE CERTIFIED FOR THIS POSITION) at Sunshine Home Health and Hospice, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care and support to terminally ill patients. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure that patients are comfortable, safe, and receive the highest quality of care during their final journey. Requirements

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Utah.
CPR and First Aid certification.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have a valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
Ability to work with a diverse team in a dynamic, emotionally charged environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in hospice care or a healthcare setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate and patient-centered care to hospice patients in their homes or in our hospice facility.
Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
Administer medications and treatments as directed by the hospice nurse or medical team.
Monitor and report changes in patient condition, symptoms, and vital signs.
Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients.
Collaborate with the hospice care team to develop and implement care plans.
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care.
