The Hospice Chaplain plans and coordinates spiritual services for PruittHealth Hospice families and patients. This role involves providing spiritual support based on identified needs, assessing spiritual needs through communication, and ensuring support is available according to patient wishes. The Chaplain also provides consultation and support to the hospice team, healthcare centers, and the community. They perform sacerdotal functions to address spiritual crises, assist with volunteer training, and serve as a member of the Interdisciplinary Group to develop care plans. Additionally, the Chaplain assists with on-call coverage, acts as a liaison to community clergy, and provides grief and bereavement counseling. The role requires maintaining effective relationships with coworkers and the public, adhering to company policies and legal regulations, and carrying out duties with a Commitment to Caring in line with the company's mission, vision, and philosophy. Confidentiality of company information is essential, and the employee must demonstrate honesty and integrity. The position requires the ability to perform job duties without posing a risk of harm to self or others, and patient care responsibilities are coordinated with the Director of Health Services and the interdisciplinary team.
