About The Position
Hospice chaplaincy is a calling. You're there to meet patients and families exactly where they are, offering presence, comfort, and spiritual support during one of the most profound transitions a person can face. Our staff volunteers with Meals on Wheels, we host monthly Veteran-to-Veteran coffees through our hospice program, and we show up for this city the same way we show up for our patients. Requirements
- Master of Divinity or equivalent graduate degree from an accredited institution
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine comfort with end-of-life conversations
- Reliable transportation
Nice To Haves
- Experience in hospice, hospital, or palliative care chaplaincy preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide spiritual and emotional support to hospice patients and their families in the home setting
- Conduct spiritual assessments and contribute to the interdisciplinary care plan
- Facilitate meaningful conversations around end-of-life, legacy, and closure
- Collaborate with the hospice care team to ensure whole-person care
- Complete accurate and timely documentation following each visit
